The property benefits from a privileged location, between the Ebro River, the Moncayo y the windThe climate is "extreme continental", with cold winters and long, dry summers that give the grapes their unique character.
We have a 300 million liter dam for water storage, used in the drier months. A system of drip irrigation throughout the vineyard allows us to control water stress and keep the plants in optimal conditions. In addition, we have humidity sensors in each plotThis allows us to plan precise irrigation according to the needs of each area and time of the year.
The winery is semi-buried in the highest part of the estate, which assures stable temperature and humidity throughout the year. From there you can see a large part of the vineyard.

In 2014, Pago de Cirsus obtained the certification of Denominación de Origen Protegida Pago (D.O.P. Bolandín)The highest quality qualification for wines from Spain. Since then, all our wines are produced under this distinction.
The word payment comes from Latin paguswhich designated a small village or farm. Over time, the term was linked to singular plots of land with unique characteristics, giving rise to the current concept of Vino de PagoThe most exclusive category of Spanish viticulture.
At Pago de Cirsus we believe that sustainability is demonstrated with facts, day after day. Our viticulture is inspired by the principles of the regenerative agriculturewhich seeks to conserve and improve agricultural ecosystems, restore living soils and generate resilience in the face of climate change.
Caring for the land with intelligence and respect is our way of leaving a fertile and healthy legacy for the next generations.
A long-term viewRegenerating is a path, not a goal. We continue to learn, measure and adapt our practices with consistency, constancy and scientific support.
A way of thinkingRegenerating is an attitude that inspires us to leave each place better than we found it, for those who will come after us.
