Lower Ribera
Located in the south of the region. It is an important area in terms of number of wineries and extension of 28% of the vineyard surface. The soils are predominantly brown, subdesert gray to the south of Tudela and brown-limestone to the north. It is made up of 14 municipalities.
In the south of Navarra, a vast plain dominated by the Moncayo mountain range is home to fertile soils and a unique semi-arid climate.

Situation
It is located in the south of Navarre, in the Ebro Valley, between Aragon and La Rioja. Capital: Tudela.
Landscape
Great plain, with scarce vegetation and very flat, dominated by the imposing presence of the Sierra del Moncayo. In the most favorable areas there is an abundance of orchards.

Main grape varieties
Among the reds, Garnacha is the dominant grape, followed by Tempranillo. As for white grapes, there is the highest concentration of Viura and Moscatel in the region.

Weather
This area is quite homogeneous in terms of climatic conditions, being fully located in the semi-arid zone. Given the thermal regime and average annual rainfall of between 361 and 384 mm, there is a water deficit for the vines of over 300 mm per year. The favorable vegetative periods for the vines are the longest in the D.O. Navarra, ranging from 227 days in Fitero to 255 in Tudela, and all the viticultural bioclimatic indexes reach their highest values.
