read moreSharing for centuries
From its origins to the present day, each chapter of Bodegas Irache reflects the essence of share.
From the Benedictine monks who offered hospitality and wine to pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago, to the current commitment of the Gomez-Mangione family to preserve and revitalize this tradition, we have been a bridging generations, cultures and times.
Every bottle we make is a testament to our dedication to keeping this connection alive and sharing the best of our land with the world.
The soul of our wines
More of 101 hectares of vineyards in Tierra Estella are the origin of the unique personality of our wines.
We grow selected varieties that express the richness of our land:
The privileged location, combined with the thermal contrast between day and night, favors a slow and balanced ripening. The limestone and mineral soils provide unmistakable structure and complexity.
The cold and humid climate, influenced by the Sierra de Urbasa and the Atlantic breeze, offers ideal conditions for aged wines. Each vintage is the result of a balance between tradition and modern viticulture techniques.
Every corner of Bodegas Irache combines architectural tradition and state-of-the-art technology.
The excellence of Navarra
In 2008, we became the first winery in Navarre to obtain the P.D.O. Vino de Pago Prado de IracheThe highest distinction of quality in Spain.
A Vino de Pago wine comes from a unique sitewith unique soil and microclimate characteristics. The law requires that the entire process be carried out on the estate: from the grapes to bottling.
This recognition places Irache at the top of Spanish viticulture.
Hospitality on the Camino de Santiago
Inspired by the tradition of the monks of Irache, at the end of the 1990s we installed the Wine FountainToday, it is the only one on the Camino de Santiago.
Every day, pilgrims can freely serve themselves wine or water in its two spouts. Approximately 100 liters of young red wine are offered to those who travel the route, perpetuating a legacy of hospitality, hospitality that St. Veremundo began in the eleventh century.
