David Palacios is a winegrower, president of the Spanish Conference of Wine Regulatory Councils (CECRV) where he holds the position in the second term and is also vice president of the European Federation of Origin Wines (EFOW) and president of the Navarra Wine Guild. Palacios, who makes a satisfactory balance of the last four years that have been marked by the global pandemic caused by the coronavirus that has been a severe blow to the wine sector. "The past legislature has been very complicated as we faced a situation that had not been experienced before and that seriously shook the wine marketing, both in the domestic market due to the closure of the on-trade and in the export market. Things became very difficult and we had to deal with a totally different scenario. I believe that now we are gradually emerging and recovering sales", explains the President. On the challenges of the future, Palacios comments: "We are at a critical moment in the D.O.
