read moreIn the low mountains of Navarra, a territory marked by a pronounced orography and little space for cultivation, several Garnacha vineyards that were many years old were abandoned. Among the reasons for their abandonment was the difficulty of access to them and the low production, which was unsustainable for local farmers.
A few years ago, winemaker Gonzalo Celayeta Escudero, in his eagerness to rescue those old abandoned vineyards, began to lead a project of recovery and vindication of the Garnacha variety with the aim of producing high quality, unique and unrepeatable wines.
This is how "Unsi" was born: a winemaking project that aims to recover old mountain Grenache vineyards in order to produce quality wines with a unique and unrepeatable character.
