From October 4 to 14, Navarre is getting ready to enjoy a festival of cazuelicas and wines D.O. Navarra.
A week has arrived to taste the 41 proposals of the participating establishments in Navarra. The Week of the Cazuelica and the Wine of Navarra is organized by the Hotel and Tourism Association of Navarra. It is an opportunity to get to know the gastronomy of the region in small format through traditional "cazuelicas" (casseroles) of the most outstanding bars in cities and towns.
The proposal of casserole 2,30 euros and all of them are accompanied by a wine D.O. Navarra. Among them, there are delicious whites, rosés and reds D.O. Navarra that accompany pig's trotters, cheeks, quail, lamb... among other dishes.
These succulent pairings are entered into the competition and participants may obtain the Gold, Silver or Bronze awards, which are endowed with accrediting diplomas. In addition, the "Best Wine Service" will be distinguished and other distinctions will be awarded. The jury that will select the winners in each category is made up of professional chefs.
This year, the planned date for the final will be on Wednesday, October 17 in the morning at Classroom of the Cooperativa de Hostelería.

These tastings are open to the public and the casserole and wine of the participating bars will be explained by their producers.

Meeting with Prize
On October 10, a bar route will take place to share and taste cazuelicas and Navarra D.O. wine in a fun and friendly atmosphere. In each of the bars along the route, participants will be able to win direct prizes (Navarra Wine Lovers kits) by answering questions posed by the D.O. Navarra.

Photo contest on Instagram
Open to the public, in which users can participate by uploading photos taken during this gastronomic event.
The prize, awarded by a jury, will be for the most original photograph and the winner will be presented with a set of 6 bottles of Navarra D.O. wines and a night for two people at the Arantza Hotela a 5* -only Adults. The prize will be awarded on Wednesday, October 17, coinciding with the final of "la Cazuelica".
