More than 1,500 people enjoyed the Navarra Designation of Origin wine festival in its tenth edition in Pamplona.
This weekend the Baluarte Conference Center and Auditorium in Pamplona hosted the tenth edition of Vinofest Navarra. The tasting of wines from the D.O. Navarra returned to meet again with a loyal audience that expects it year after year, making it an unmissable event in the agenda of the region. The three sessions held enjoyed an ideal atmosphere for tasting the wines offered by the twenty-two wineries present: Azul y Garanza, Bodega de Liédena, Bodega de Sada, Bodega Inurrieta, Bodegas Castillo de Monjardín, Bodegas Gran Feudo, Bodegas Irache, Bodegas Lezaun, Bodegas Malón de Echaide, Bodegas Marco Real, Bodegas Marqués del Atrio, Bodegas Máximo Abete, Bodegas Nekeas, Bodegas Olimpia, Bodegas Pago de Cirsus, Bodegas Príncipe de Viana, Bodegas Quaderna Vía, Bodegas San Martín, La Casa de Lúculo, Vinos y Viñedos Dominio Lasierpe, Viña Aliaga and Viña Zorzal.
All of them presented their novelties in white, rosé and red wines, adding up to more than one hundred and thirty references that were offered for tasting and that represented an interesting journey through the wine map of Navarra and its different areas. The inauguration of the show was held on Friday with a toast by Reyno Gourmet as sponsor of the tenth edition of Vinofest Navarra in tribute to its work in the promotion of products with Designation of Origin Navarra. Itziar Inza, Value Chain Coordinator of Reyno Gourmet/INTIA, showed her appreciation to the products and professionals of the Navarra wine sector, joined by the Deputy Mayor of Pamplona City Council, Ana Elizalde.
The president of the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Navarra, David Palacios commented at the time: "The tenth edition of Vinofest Navarra once again shows that there are many people who are passionate and eager to discover new wines to continue enjoying their hobby. For the Navarra Designation of Origin it is a gift to see how year after year the public waits impatiently for this great event and it gives them the opportunity to get to know the wineries' projects first hand". Palacios makes a very positive balance of the celebration of this event that, as in previous editions, managed to bring together a heterogeneous public, with a large presence of young people, united by the interest of tasting and discovering Navarra DO wines. Vinofest Navarra was also a meeting point for professionals of the sector eager to learn about the new vintages and elaborations of white, rosé and red wines of the appellation.
