From Piquillo de Lodosa and Navarra red wine

Oct 17, 2019

The contest, organized by ANAPEH, will take place from October 18 to 27 in locations throughout Navarra and has the participation of 22 establishments, bars and restaurants, which will serve skewers and dishes based on this emblematic, typical, native and full season product. The participants will compete for the Best Harmony award in the categories of pincho and dish.

ANAPEH launches for the fifth consecutive year these gastronomic days that aim to extol the culinary value of one of our most emblematic products, the Piquillo Pepper from Lodosa, paired with red wine from the D.O. Navarra. The twenty-two participants are distributed throughout Navarra, thus being an excellent opportunity to taste pinchos or original dishes made with this exceptional seasonal product.

The tastings of pinchos will be served for a price of 3.50 € and the establishments will also propose pairing with a red wine D. O. Navarra.

Customers will be eligible for more than 100 direct prizes, such as lots of products, lunches, dinners and other prizes, through "scratch and win" cards, which will be distributed with each purchase at participating establishments.

In gastronomic terms, this event is a great opportunity to get out of the typical piquillo peppers of Lodosa, with elaborations that will surprise people who want to enjoy these days.

The prizes will be the same as in previous editions: one for the best pincho paired with red wine of the Designation of Origin Navarra, another for the best restaurant dish paired with red wine of the Designation of Origin Navarra and a special prize for the best preparation with organic product of Navarra, sponsored by CPAEN/NNPEK.

In this edition, the triptychs reflect those pintxos and dishes that are suitable for celiacs.
