Madrid Fusión will be the first food and wine event of the year and on its opening day, the next January 26th at 16:00h, will host an exceptional Tasting of Great Rosé wines D.O. Navarra oriented towards pairing with haute cuisine, consolidating the Navarra Denomination of Origin as the a world leader in the production of quality rosés and a great diversity of styles and positioning this type of wine as an ideal ally for pairing with the finest cuisine.
The event will bring together sommeliers from prestigious restaurants, restaurateurs and professionals in the industryThe wine lovers, who will have the opportunity to taste an exceptional selection of high value D.O. Navarra rosés characterized by their versatility, elegance and gastronomic capacity. The tasting will be led by Beth WillardShe is a renowned international wine taster, collaborator of Tim Atkin and a great connoisseur of Spanish wines. "The D.O. Navarra rosés express a quality that is difficult to find. The wineries are innovative within what is tradition and the incredible potential of the landscape. Grenache from very old vines made by the tear bleeding method with 100% red grapes harvested at night.
SEÑORÍO DE SARRÍA VIÑEDO CINCO 2025 - Señorío de Sarría (Valdizarbe)
Old Grenache over 60 years old. Aromas of strawberry candy, lychee and grapefruit. Fresh, unctuous and persistent on the palate. A rosé with structure and elegance.
ESLAVA ROSÉ 2024 - Bodegas Eslava (Lower Mountain)
Fermented in 80-year-old concrete, this pale Grenache rosé offers floral and herbal notes. The palate is fresh and taut, reflecting the Lower Mountain character.
XI'IPAL ROSÉ EL OLIVO 2024 - Bodegas Caudalía (Baja Montaña)
Made with Garnacha Tinta from vineyards in the Lower Mountains, in the villages of Lerga and San Martín de Unx, at altitudes between 500 and 750 m. Fermentation and aging on its lees in
small cement tanks of 400 liters.
PINPILINPAUXA DE UBETA 2024 - Ubeta Wines (Ribera Baja)
Amphora fermented Grenache which gives it a fantastic mouthfeel. The wine has an attractive bitterness with a blood orange character, along with rhubarb, sour cherry and pomegranate. Attractively colored, it is full of flavor and finishes with a touch of mineral salinity.
PAGO DE CIRSUS GRAN ROSÉ CUVÉE SPECIAL 2024 - Pago de Cirsus (Ribera Baja)
Rosé blend of Garnacha, Syrah and Tempranillo. Fermentation in French barrels and subsequent aging in French oak barrels on lees for 3 months.
EL ARREBOL DE LA CARRA CABRA 2024 - Viña Palacios (Ribera Alta)
Rosé fermented and aged in amphorae. Complex, with notes of ripe strawberry, pomegranate and herbaceous nuances. Unctuous and with great structure.
GUERINDA+ LA ROSA 2023 - Bodegas Máximo Abete (Low Mountain)
Grenache fermented and aged 9 months in used French oak barrels. Gravity must bleeding, without pressure. Pale pink, with aromas of wild strawberry, orange blossom and rosemary. Mineral and elegant, with great balance between freshness and structure.
LADY OF THE HEIGHTS ROSE 2023 - Viña Zorzal (Ribera Baja)
Garnacha gris 100% aged in 500l. barrels and in bottle. A terroir rosé, with all the expression of the territory and a singular variety.
THE FOOTPRINT OF AITANA CUVÉE ZEN 2021 - Bodegas San Martín (Lower Mountain)
Red and white Grenache aged 8 months in barrels and 10 months in amphorae. Salmon rosé, complex, structured and aging. Aromas of white fruit, Mediterranean herbs and mineral background.
