Asparagus and Rosé Awards

Restaurante Ayestarán in Lekunberri received the Award for Best Harmony at the 5th Navarre Asparagus and Rosé Week. Donamariako Benta in Donamaría and Restaurante Txapi Txuri in Murillo El Fruto received finalist honorable mentions. 

The Navarra Association of Small Hospitality Businesses (ANAPEH) is presenting the awards for the 5th Navarra Asparagus and Rosé Wine Week.

The Jury on this occasion was made up of representatives from the Navarra Gastronomy Association. Its President, Ana Laguna, was in charge of announcing the winners of this edition, conveying to the attendees how difficult the decision was due to the high level of proposals participating in this edition, which year after year rewards the quality of both the product, Navarra Asparagus and Navarra D.O. Rosé Wine, as well as their perfect harmony and pairing for the delight of diners.

Koxko Goñi, representing the ANAPEH Board of Directors, attended the event, along with David Palacios, president of the Navarra Designation of Origin Regulatory Council; Ana Juanena, secretary of the Protected Geographical Indication Asparagus of Navarra Regulatory Council; Andrea Lecumberri from CPAEN; Santiago Enciso, president of the Navarra Hospitality Cooperative; Igor Goroskieta from Caja Rural de Navarra; and Ana Lizarraga, marketing director for the Navarra Government Tourism Service.

A natural asparagus cream with poached egg and crispy Iberian ham, accompanied by Emergente Rosado 2017, of Ayestarán Restaurant in Lekunberri It was the award for best harmony at the 5th Navarra Asparagus and Rosé Week.

Donamaria's Inn in Donamaría You have received a finalist honorable mention for your participation with natural asparagus with Cambozola cheese and caramelized hazelnuts. The wine that accompanied it on this occasion Aroa Larrosa 2017.

And runner-up finalist also for Txapi Txuri Restaurant of Murillo El Fruto, for your participation with marinated green pepper with pickled asparagus tips. The chosen wine Guerinda Casa Lasierra 2017.

One of the tastiest combinations from the Navarrese table has come together once again for the 5th edition of the Navarra Asparagus and Rosé Week, held from May 4th to 13th. Navarra's "white gold" of our cuisine, the Navarra Asparagus, paired with its best companion, D.O. Navarra rosé wine, a true delight for the palate.

Among the customers who have visited during these days to taste these gastronomic offerings, over 100 instant prizes have been distributed through the "Scratch and Win" cards given with each purchase, product hampers, meals, and a raffle for a weekend getaway in rural Navarre.
