Of wines and burgers in Pamplona

La Ruta Vino & Burguer is offering a fun pairing of special burgers with D.O. Navarra wines throughout February at over 20 bars and restaurants in Pamplona and the surrounding area.  

The route returns, offering a tour through about twenty establishments in Pamplona and its surrounding area to enjoy Navarra Designation of Origin wines with a succulent hamburger. After the success of its debut, the second edition of the Vino y Burguer Route will surprise with its varied and original proposals. Throughout the month of February, participants will offer a glass of Navarra white, rosé, or red wine to accompany special hamburger creations made with different meats or even fish.

With this leisure proposal, the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Navarra begins its promotion plan for this year. A starting point that focuses on the demystification strategy for wine consumption, which the entity has been working on in recent years. According to its president, David Palacios: “Wine is a very versatile drink because it is deeply rooted in popular culture. This way, it accompanies us with all kinds of meals, from full menus to appetizers or other modern options like hamburgers, sandwiches, or pizzas, for example.

The Vino & Burguer Route aims to demonstrate that one of the most international dishes in our contemporary gastronomy, the hamburger, pairs perfectly with one of the most unique beverages, wine. The "gourmet" hamburger is trendy and has become a great alternative for lunches and dinners with friends or family. These are the ones offered by the establishments participating in this initiative. The proposals are all different and feature careful preparation to offer a quality gastronomic alternative. Thus, for a month, the D.O. Navarra encouragesmake the engine of the senses roar"touring Pamplona and its region.

This is one of the hospitality promotions developed by D.O. Navarra to support the hospitality sector of the Chartered Community and highlight the different wines produced in the territory: exciting whites, renowned rosés, and honest reds. All of them are intended to be enjoyed as a complement to leisure time, intimately linked to the traditional gastronomy of this land and its customs, but also in line with new culinary trends.
