More than a hundred people gathered at the Pamplona Citadel to raise their glasses in the largest simultaneous toast ever held in some thirty appellations of origin to praise DO wine.

The Navarra Denomination of Origin has brought together its community of Navarra wine lovers, their "Navarra Wine Lovers". in an idyllic setting, one of the lungs of the city of Pamplona, the park of the Citadel. There, outside the Sala de Armas building, a hundred people gathered to raise their glasses and join in the toast that was celebrated simultaneously in 31 appellations of origin in the country. In this way, the Control Board of the D.O. Navarra has celebrated the third edition of the D.O. Wine Movement Day with the aim of extolling the goodness and vindicating the wine with Designation of Origin.

On this occasion, the event organized by the Spanish Conference of Wine Regulatory Councils (CECRV) also sought to highlight the role played by appellations of origin in revitalizing rural areas. Specifically, they contribute to economic development, offering job opportunities for different generations, which benefits the fixation of population in the territory. They also favor beneficial ecosystems for the preservation of the environment and promote biodiversity. They are also instruments for the promotion of culture, the promotion of the historical and artistic heritage in which they participate and promote tourism, with wine as an attraction.

The celebration was attended by the Minister of Rural Development, Environment and Local Administration of the Government of Navarra, Isabel Elizalde and the president of the Designation of Origin Navarra and president of (CECRV), David Palacios. "Today, more than ever, it is important to unite the efforts of all the appellations of origin to work on continuing to add value in order to continue being engines that contribute to the economic development of each of the rural areas, hand in hand with our wineries and winegrowers and their work. and to continue to guarantee the quality and authenticity of our wines for the consumer."says Palacios.

The D.O. Wine Movement Day in the Navarra Denomination of Origin was enlivened by the Navarrese music group "Dos de Tres" who offered an acoustic concert to the attendees in which with their voices, guitar and violin they covered great pop and rock hits.
