The Regulatory Council of the Designation of Origin Navarra positively evaluates its participation in the reference fair of the Spanish quality wine sector, which held its fourth edition this week.
Barcelona Wine Week (BWW) is once again breaking attendance records at its first fourth edition held from February 5 to 7 in Barcelona. Twenty-one thousand professionals from the sector, twenty percent of them international, nine hundred and fifty-two wineries and seventy-three denominations of origin have participated in the Salon held in Barcelona.
During the event, more than 12,000 business meetings were held between exhibiting companies, major national buyers and key international importers from strategic countries. Navarra has shown its quality y potentialin the area of the D.O. Navarra promoted by INTIA-Reyno Gourmetwith wines from Sada Winery, Inurrieta Winery, Marqués de Montecierzo Winery, Asensio Winery, Malón de Echaide Winery, Bodegas Príncipe de Viana, Alzania wineries and vineyards, Monjardín Castle, Liédena Winery (Liskar Wines), Nekeas, Señorío de Sarría, Tandem, Ubeta Wines y Aliaga Vineyard. The Regulatory Council has focused its presence in its rosé wines, leaders in the domestic market with thirty percent of the market share, and Grenache reds, elaborations emblematic y recognized of this region. The commitment to these wines has been the result of the growing demand and market trend towards wines that are more fresh, versatile y easy to drink and towards this grape variety in vogue. The Grenache occupies about thirty percent of the region's vineyard area and offers a wide range of products from the more atlantic garnachas of some of the most important vineyards northern and mountainous areas of the Iberian Peninsula as the most continental Mediterranean of the Ebro valley. All of them, garnachas that offer the freshness of the north and provide a vibrant historical wealth to the region.
