Puy Trigueros, new manager of the Navarra D.O. Regulatory Council

The Regulatory Council of the Designation of Origin Navarra announces the incorporation of Puy Trigueros as the new manager of the entity. 

Born in Bilbao, Trigueros has been living in Navarra for years, due to her ties with Desojo, a town in the region located in the Merindad de Estella. A descendant of winegrowers from this municipality and of long-established restaurateurs in an emblematic establishment in Bilbao, Puy Trigueros holds a degree in Information Science from the University of the Basque Country.

A specialist in marketing and wine tourism, her professional career has focused on key areas such as digital marketing, team management, innovation and project development. Prior to her incorporation, she has worked in renowned organizations such as Nasertic, Turismo de Navarra, Grupo La Información and La Rioja Turismo, accumulating extensive experience in the sector.

"I take on this challenge with great enthusiasm, convinced that DO Navarra has a unique opportunity. Although the context is challenging, we are making the best wines in our history, which also respond to current consumer trends. We are leaders in rosés and our Garnacha wines, authentic and fresh, reflect our identity and stand out for their quality. My goal is to intensify our marketing strategy to promote our wines in the global market. I will bring my experience in digital marketing and new technologies, as well as in wine tourism, to open new marketing avenues and strengthen the emotional bond with the Navarra DO. This approach is key to increase the value and prestige of our brand." said Trigueros after taking up his post at the Control Board.

In response to this context, the Regulatory Council of the Navarra Denomination of Origin will work on defining management strategies to strengthen the D.O. and ensure its sustainability and growth in the coming years.

The D.O. Navarra currently has 84 wineries and 1,600 winegrowers, who cultivate more than 9,000 hectares of vineyards. The Regulatory Council manages this appellation of origin, issuing quality and guarantee certificates and promoting the Navarra brand in national and international markets.
