The “Vinos D.O. Navarra en Hostelería 2026” awards will recognize restaurants, bars, specialized shops and professionals who contribute to promoting and enhancing the wines of the Navarra Designation of Origin. Applications can be submitted from October 22 to November 23.
The Regulatory Council of the Navarra Designation of Origin has presented today the “I Premios Vinos D.O. Navarra en Hostelería 2026”, an initiative aimed at recognizing the work of establishments and professionals that contribute to bringing the wines of the designation closer to consumers, giving them visibility and strengthening their presence in the gastronomic and commercial offer. The presentation took place at the Official College of Physicians of Navarra, in Pamplona, with the participation of Puy Trigueros, manager of the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Navarra, and Beatriz Preciado, director of Entrepreneurship, Value Chain and Technical Assistance to the Administration of INTIA, in a meeting that highlighted the importance of recognizing those who bet on the quality products of Navarra.
The D.O. Navarra has more than 2,000 restaurants, bars, wine bars, shops and professionals who work every day to bring their wines closer to consumers. Through these awards, the Regulatory Council wants to value their commitment and recognize the role they play in promoting the wines of the denomination.
«The hospitality industry is a fundamental showcase for our wines. In a restaurant, at a bar or in a specialized store, a recommendation can arouse interest in a winery, a variety or a wine region. We want to recognize those who are already doing great work, but also encourage more establishments to discover our wines, incorporate them into their offerings and actively recommend them», points out Puy Trigueros, manager of the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Navarra.
Six categories to recognize commitment to the Wines of Navarra DOC
The awards encompass six categories that reflect different ways of contributing to the promotion of the wines of the denomination:
- “Ambassador of the D.O. Navarra Table”, addressed to Restaurants who integrate and promote these wines in their gastronomic proposal.
- “Ambassador of the D.O. Navarra Bar”, for bars that encourage their consumption and discovery.
- "D.O. Navarra Sin Fronteras”, which recognizes establishments outside Navarra who bet on the wines of the denomination.
- “Specialized Trade D.O. Navarra”, intended for stores and wine cellars who stand out for their work in marketing and dissemination.
- “Soul of the Sala D.O. Navarra”, A special mention goes to the room staff who contribute to enhancing the value of these wines through their knowledge and customer service.
- “Legado D.O. Navarra”, A special mention that recognizes a distinguished career in promoting the wines of the denomination.
The awards are not solely focused on marketing, but also recognize prescription, knowledge, dissemination, and commitment to D.O. Navarra Wines. The goal is to give visibility to good practices and generate new opportunities for the wines of the designation to have greater prominence in bars, menus, and retail outlets.
«We have great wines and a wine sector that generates activity, wealth and employment in our territory. To continue advancing, we need that value to reach the consumer and for our wines to find allies in the hospitality industry and the trade who are committed to promoting them. These awards aim to recognize this work and strengthen the commitment to D.O. Navarra wines, starting with our own community,» highlights David Palacios, president of the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Navarra.

A shared commitment to local products
The initiative is supported by Reyno Gourmet, whose support highlights the importance of working together to promote and value the agricultural and food products of Navarre.
From this perspective, hospitality and specialized trade play an essential role as prescribers: they bring products linked to the territory closer to consumers, contribute to giving visibility to the work of producers and companies, and help consolidate a gastronomy that prioritizes quality and origin. The recognition of establishments and professionals who opt for the wines of the denomination thus forms part of a shared commitment to promote Navarre’s product and strengthen the entire agri-food chain.
The organization of the “I Premios Vinos D.O. Navarra en Hostelería” is made possible thanks to the collaboration of Reyno Gourmet and the Government of Navarra through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
