500 people attended the third edition of the event, which was held at the Gaztambide Theater in the capital of the Ribera del Duero with the participation of thirteen wineries that presented more than 70 white, rosé and red wines.
Vinofest Navarra has gathered this weekend 500 people around the Designation of Origin Navarra in the Gaztambide Theater in Tudela. The attendees were able to know from the hand of its protagonists, more than 70 references of white, rosé and red wines thanks to the participation of 13 wineries that were present at the show: Bodega de Liédena, Bodegas San Martín, Bodega Inurrieta, Bodegas Malón de Echaide, Bodegas Gran Feudo, Viña Aliaga, Vinos y Viñedos Dominio Lasierpe, Bodegas Campos de Enanzo, Bodegas Pago de Cirsus, Bodegas Príncipe de Viana, Bodegas Marco Real, Finca Albret and Bodegas Irache. The space became a real wine paradise for a day in the third edition, which has consolidated the event in the cultural and leisure agenda of the capital of the Ribera del Duero.
After an inaugural toast, the doors of the magnificent hall of the theater opened in the morning and afternoon to welcome all those interested in learning and discovering a little more about the Navarra Designation of Origin. " More than ten years ago, we set ourselves the goal of demystifying and popularizing wine culture, at least in our region. And little by little, events like Vinofest Navarra show us that it is possible to return this culture and knowledge to its natural environment. So we are very satisfied"Jordi Vidal, manager of the Control Board, who attended the show, said. And so it was, throughout the day, the audience appreciated and enjoyed the renowned white wines made from grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Viura, Garnacha Blanca, Sauvignon Blanc or Moscatel de Grano Menudo and the famous rosés and reds of Garnacha, Tempranillo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah or Graciano, among others. It was also an opportunity to explore, through the expression of these grapes, the different areas of the appellation, as the wineries came from Ribera Baja, Ribera Alta, Tierra Estella and Baja Montaña.
The Control Board organizes the Vinofest Navarra event, which is also held in Pamplona, where next year in April it will celebrate its eighth edition at the Baluarte Conference Center. With this edition in Tudela, it puts the finishing touch to the events aimed at the general public during 2018. The D.O. Navarra is immersed in the preparation of its promotional plan for both the national and international markets.
