The D.O. Navarra presents its rosés at an event organized in London in collaboration with D.O. Rueda and D.O. Toro to promote its wines in the British market.
This is the first time that three of Spain's leading wine appellations have come together to organize a joint event in the UK to promote their wines under the slogan: "Fresh, bold and vibrant wines of Northen Spain".
The D. O. Navarra together with D. O. Rueda and D. O. Toro. have shown the British market their elaborations with special emphasis on their white, rosé and red wines, presenting the new trends in winemaking and viticulture in their regions. The first edition of this event held in Westminster Chapel, London, brought together more than two hundred professionals from the sector and also amateur consumers who are part of the community promoted by Three Wine Men. All of them were able to enjoy the wines presented by some of the most prestigious wine producers in the world. 50 wineries attendingAmong them were: Bodegas Alconde, Viña Aliaga, Bodegas Castillo de Monjardín, Señorío de Sarría, Bodegas San Martín, Bodega Inurrieta, Bodegas Pago de Cirsus, Bodegas Irache, Bodega de Sada, Bodega Nekeas, Bodegas Manzanos, Bodegas Marco Real and Bodegas Valcarlos. The president of the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Navarra, commented on the event: "This is an important collaboration not only for the wines of the D.O. Navarra but also for Spanish wines. The union of the forces of three of the main appellations of origin of our country is a very relevant and decisive step to attract international markets.".
In this context, the renowned international prescriber, specialized in rosé wines, Elizabeth Gabay MW was offering a master class on the famous rosés of the Navarra Denomination of Origin, so relevant in the history and future of the region. These wines, leaders in their category in the national market, conquered the palates of the nearly forty experts participating in the tasting, who recognized their attractive identity and quality. An outstanding personality based on three characteristics: the Garnacha grape variety used in most of the elaborations, which provides remarkable aromas and a seductive flavor, the traditional method used, such as "must bleeding", and the freshness provided by its balanced acidity. The Control Board of the D.O. Navarra continues to be immersed in its promotional activities aimed at the international market and expects to receive professionals from the United Kingdom and Germany after the summer.
