Bodega de Sada, founded in 1939, is located in the Lower Mountains, in the Pre-Pyrenees of Navarre. The village has about 100 inhabitants and has been dedicated since ancient times to the cultivation of vineyards. The area is under the influence of the Pyrenees, which is why the grapes ripen late, with cold winters and snow. A little further north of Sada the grapes do not ripen well.
The vineyard is made up of 148 small plots scattered around the village. There are 325 hectares of vineyards, mainly of unirrigated Grenache, many of which are old, and a large part of which have been converted or goblet trained.
In 2001 we started bottling with our own brand, betting on quality wines. This is how Palacio de Sada wines were born, made with cold climate Grenache from our best plots, being its quality recognized since the first vintage, with a Baco de Oro in 2003. Decanter magazine, for its part, selected in 2015 our Palacio de Sada Crianza 2011 as one of the two best garnachas in Spain, awarding it 95 points. Also recently, in 2022, the Concours Grenaches du Monde awarded two gold medals to Bodega de Sada's garnacha wines. We dedicate our best vineyards and grapes to Palacio de Sada.
We want to preserve the rural environment and improve life in our village.
