On June 9 the doors of the Citadel of Pamplona will open to host the first sustainable festival of music and wine D.O. Navarra with a lineup with prominent artists such as Sidonie, La Habitación Roja, Depedro, Carlos Sadness, Mabü, Jenny and the Mexicats or Eme DJ.
The Designation of Origin Navarra supports the first edition of Turmalina Music & Wine Fest, which will be held at the Pamplona Citadel on June 9 with the participation of 28 wineries: Aroa, Dominio Lasierpe, Sarría, Malón de Echaide, Sada, San Martín, Valdelares, Aguirre, Castillo de Monjardín, Ochoa, Olimpia, Pagos de Aráiz, Piedemonte, Príncipe de Viana, Finca Albret, Quaderna Vía, Valcarlos, Vega del Castillo, Tandem, Emilio Valerio, Máximo Abete, Inurrieta, Navarrsotillo, Unsi, Armendáriz, Liédena, Alconde and La Casa de Lúculo..
Their wines will be the protagonists of the bars of the Turmalina Music & Wine Fest. These whites, rosés and reds will be served in the traditional manner but also as a base for "mixtures"cocktails and mixed drinks to offer low alcoholic beverages in the commitment to responsible and moderate consumption. The proposals will be designed by the bartender Carlos Rodriguez. This ensures the quality of a varied offer in line with the gastronomy to turn the event into an exclusively wine festival. "For the D.O. Navarra, this festival is another step forward, after the celebration of ten editions of La Noche del Vino, in the strategy of highlighting the cultural values of wine."The Navarra D.O. Regulatory Council manager, Jordi Vidal, commented. The wines of the D.O. Navarra will accompany the gastronomic proposal, which will have its own space: "Flavors of El Reyno"The event will be directed by the chef Iñaki Andradas and his team from the Baserriberri restaurant in Pamplona. In addition, in the afternoon, there will be various wine tastings that make up a full program that will cover the entire Designation of Origin Navarra.
Turmalina has a limited capacity in order to prioritize the well-being of the public and allow close contact with the artists who will perform on three small stages in the park. The scheduled times are as follows: 12:30h: Eme DJ; 13:30h: Mabü; 14:30h: Depedro; 16h: Jenny and the Mexicats; 18h: Brazilian DJ set with Ángel Carmona and Depedro; 20:30h: Carlos Sadness; 22h: La Habitación Roja; 23h: Sidonie and 00:30h: Eme DJ.. The values of solidarity and sustainability are part of the DNA of Turmalina Music & Wine Festival. Part of the proceeds from the sale of tickets will go to the cultural project Leaozinho created by journalist Ángel Carmona and Nuria Dillán in which music is taught to children from the favelas in Rio de Janeiro.
