The second edition of the show to be held in Barcelona from April 4 to 6 will have an important representation of the Designation of Origin Navarra with the presence of about 20 wineries and the Control Board.
Navarra bets on the salon Barcelona Wine Week which will be held from April 4 to 6 at the Montjuic exhibition center. This is a highly anticipated event that kicks off the year's calendar of wine fairs and exhibitions. On this occasion, the Control Board is participating in the stand grouped with the Denomination of Origin Navarra organized by INTIA and it does so with a wine bar: "The wine bar is the best way to taste wine.Garnacha Navarra: to suit all tastes, 3 colors". It will offer white, rosé and red wines made with the Garnacha variety, emblematic in the region. The Navarra Denomination of Origin offers this interesting repertoire that is undoubtedly an attraction for any fan of this type of wine. This is an opportunity to tour the wine map of the region guided by the Garnacha and learn about its expression and identity in the different areas that make it up: Tierra Estella, Valdizarbe, Baja Montaña, Ribera Alta and Ribera Baja. The Designation of Origin has nearly 2,600 hectares of vineyards of the aforementioned grape variety with which the vast majority of the famed Navarra rosés and reds of a marked Atlantic character from some of the northernmost vineyards of the Iberian Peninsula are made. "Barcelona Wine Week is the first fair we attend after two years of absence from this type of event. For this reason, we return with renewed energy and with the common thread of our Grenaches, as Navarra will also host the renowned international competition Grenaches du Monde in May."Javier Santafé, managing director of the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Navarra, commented.
Navarra will show its commitment to Garnacha and will extol its values in Barcelona Wine Week because the main focus of many of the activities that will take place at the Show will be on native varieties as a reference for sustainable viticulture. In fact, this edition will revolve around three themes: sustainability, wine tourism and innovation.
Together with the Regulatory Council, the following companies will be present wineriesBodega Inurrieta, Bodegas Marqués de Montecierzo, Bodegas y Viñedos Alzania, Nekeas, Bodega de Sarría, Viña Aliaga, Bodegas Malón de Echaide, Bodegas Príncipe de Viana, Bodegas La Casa de Lúculo and Bodega de Liédena (Liskar Vinos).
