Great reception of Navarra at Barcelona Wine Week

After its participation in the third edition of Barcelona Wine Week, an event of international reference, the Designation of Origin Navarra makes a positive and fruitful balance of the experience of the Control Board and the more than twenty wineries D.O. Navarra that have been present.

Barcelona Wine Week (BWW) has broken records in its third edition, consolidating its position as one of the leading events in the Spanish quality wine sector. The Show has taken a quantitative leap in participation, with a 27% more exhibitorsand qualitative because of the great business opportunities generated with the visit of more than 20,000 professionals, 20% international, mainly from the European and U.S. markets.

Among the more than 185,000 glasses tasted by visitors were those of the wines present in the area. D.O. In addition, wines from the wineries of Señorío de Arínzano, Bodega Otazu, Bodegas Castillo de Monjardín, Bodega Pago de Cirsus, Bodegas Alconde, Bodegas Irache, Bodegas Manzanos - Campanas, Bodegas Máximo Abete, Bodegas Pagos de Araiz, Bodegas Ochoa and Aroa Bodegas.The companies attended with their own stand.

The Control Board has focused its presence on wines from the following regions GrenacheThe variety is original and representative of the region. Under the slogan "Garnacha Navarra: for every taste, 3 colors". visitors to the fair were able to taste Garnacha white, rosé and red wines that have have seduced and surprised by their freshness and quality.. The decision to attend the event with this emblematic variety as the core of its discourse has proved to be the right decision after verifying during three days the growing demand and market trend towards this grape grown in Navarra. Likewise, this inclination towards the search for what most identifies the region has been reflected in the wide interest in the rosés ruby red in color, so characteristic and traditional of the Denomination of Origin Navarra.

The region's nearly 2,600 hectares of vineyards include the most Atlantic Garnacha grapes from some of the northernmost vineyards of the Iberian Peninsula and mountain vineyards, as well as the most continental Mediterranean ones from the Ebro Valley. All of them, Grenaches that offer the freshness of the north and bring a vibrant historical richness to the region.
