Nearly two thousand people have enjoyed the most crowded wine festival of the Designation of Origin Navarra in the celebration of its eleventh edition in Pamplona.
This weekend the Baluarte Conference Center and Auditorium in Pamplona hosted the eleventh edition of Vinofest Navarra. This year, it was especially notable for breaking the record in ticket sales, selling out in two of the three available sessions, and for the influx of young people interested in tasting the wines of this wine region and in expanding their knowledge of the world of wine and wineries' projects. Thus, the tasting of wines from the D.O. Navarra returned to meet again with a loyal audience that expects it year after year, making it an unmissable event in the agenda of the region.
The three sessions held enjoyed an atmosphere conducive to the tasting of the wines offered by the twenty-one wineries present: Amatria Vinos y Viñedos, Azul y Garanza, Bodega de Liédena, Bodega de Sada, Bodega Inurrieta, Bodegas Castillo de Monjardín, Bodegas Irache, Bodegas Lezaun, Bodegas Malón de Echaide, Bodegas Marco Real, Bodegas Máximo Abete, Bodegas Olimpia, Bodegas Pago de Cirsus, Bodegas San Martín, Gran Feudo, Hacienda Logos (Bodega Escudero), Pagos de Obanos, Príncipe de Viana, Tandem, Vinos y Viñedos Dominio Lasierpe and Viña Zorzal Wines.
All of them presented their novelties in white, rosé and red wines, adding up to more than one hundred and thirty references that were offered for tasting and that represented an interesting tour of the wine map of Navarra and its different areas.
The inauguration of the show was held on Friday with a toast starring the Navarra Wine Route as the godmother of the eleventh edition of Vinofest Navarra in tribute to her work in promoting the wine culture of our territory. Cristina Bayona, manager of the Consorcio de la Zona Media, showed her appreciation to the wineries and the professionals of the quality tourist establishments of the wine sector of Navarra.
After the end of the event, Elena Arraiza, manager of the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Navarra, commented: "We are particularly pleased with the great reception from the public this year. Vinofest Navarra has always been a success in terms of attendance, but on this occasion, we have exceeded all expectations. In addition, we have been thrilled by the increase in the number of young people interested in the world of wine and in getting to know the wines and wineries of the D.O. Navarra".
The Regulatory Council of the Designation of Origin Navarra makes a very positive assessment of the celebration of this event which, as in previous editions, managed to bring together a heterogeneous public, united by the interest of tasting and discovering the wines and wineries of the D.O.
