Through premium rosés, garnachas full of authenticity and the human stories behind the wineries, the DO Navarra has thrilled an audience that wanted to know its wines and has discovered a vibrant, diverse appellation with much to show.

Olite, December 15, 2025 - Bilbao has vibrated this weekend with the wines of the Designation of Origin Navarra thanks to Navarra Pop Up, an ephemeral event held at the cultural center La Sinsorga that has surprised both professionals of the sector and the amateur public. Far from the traditional wine tasting, the proposal has offered a sensory, free and contemporary experience that has dismantled clichés and has shown a more modern wine-producing Navarra than many expected. Organized by the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Navarra, Navarra Pop Up was not just another wine event, but a window of discovery. Through four thematic tastings, meetings with producers and live music, the appellation has shown that wine can be exciting, close and surprising, leaving a clear sensation among the attendees: Navarra has much more to offer.

The day was organized around an innovative format, with an informal meeting area and a lively bar for tasting, conversation and repetition. The objective was clear: to break with the established and show the current character of DO Navarra wines, with special attention to rosé and Garnacha, two of its great hallmarks. The morning began with the professional tasting "Top rosés without corsets", focused on premium rosés that defy stereotypes and broaden their gastronomic interpretation. Sommeliers, hoteliers and distributors discovered versatile and complex rosés, far removed from the traditional concept.

The selection, signed by international critic Beth Willard, included. Señorío de Sarría Viñedo Cinco 2024, Eslava Rosé 2024, Alzania Rosé 2024, Pinpilinpauxa de Ubeta 2024, El Arrebol de la Carra Cabra 2023, Guerinda+ La Rosa 2022 and La Huella de Aitana Cuvée Zen 2021. Next, the "Garnacha chachacha" tasting highlighted the energy and character of this emblematic variety. Garnacha whites, rosés and reds confirmed why this grape is now in the spotlight of the international wine scene. The featured wines were 25 Harvests Nekeas 2024, Inurrieta Mimao Garnacha Blanca 2023, Alma de Unx Rosé 2024, Golerga 2024, Meteluga de Ubeta 2023, Zarapuz 2022 and Trifinio 2022. In the afternoon, Navarra Pop Up opened its doors to the general public with a tasting and meeting with women winemakers, winemakers, vintners and winemakers, who shared a personal and courageous look at wine and the land. Participants included Silvia Peña (Finca La Cantera), Angharad Rubiera (Bodegas Ochoa), Yoanna Abete (Bodegas Máximo Abete), Rebeca Lecumberri (Bodega Eslava) and Alicia Eyaralar (Tandem), together with their wines Nomeolvides Blanco 2025, Oxoa 2023, Casalasierra 2025, Malagata 2022 and Ars Nova 2022. The closing came with the "Musicata rosa", a live pairing of rosé and saxophone that put the finishing touch to an intense and memorable day.

With Navarra Pop Up, the D.O.
