Palacios will remain at the head of the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin, having been unanimously reappointed by the plenary session held at the institution's headquarters in Olite. Palacios, a viticulturist by profession, is also president of the Spanish Conference of Wine Regulatory Councils (CECRV), vice-president of the European Federation of Origin Wines (EFOW), and president of the Navarra Wine Brotherhood.&nbsp;<em>I approach the new legislative period with renewed enthusiasm but the same responsibility as at the beginning of the last one, with the aim of reviewing what has been done so far to tackle the challenges that the D.O. Navarra has ahead and on which we are already working.<\/em>\", Palacios stated on the day of his appointment.<br><br>In recent years, the Regulatory Council has worked on the internationalization of the designation of origin, which is currently present in over 70 countries. Furthermore, it has focused on positioning the brand within its area of influence in the domestic market and specifically within its borders, where it has carried out promotional actions that have won over numerous consumers.<em>The internal market accounts for 68% of the D.O.
