Navarra presents its wines at the premiere of Garnoche, the Great Night of Navarran Garnacha in Madrid, on the occasion of the national wine fair, Fenavin, in Ciudad Real.

It's the premiere of Garnoche, the Big Night of the Garnacha Navarra in Madrid. The Regulatory Council of the D.O. Navarra is organizing the first edition of this event outside its borders to present its white, rosé, and red wines made with Garnacha on the occasion of the national wine fair, Fenavin, in Ciudad Real. The Regulatory Council participated with an institutional stand that brought together the following wineries: Viña Zorzal Wines, Bodega Inurrieta, Viña Aliaga, Bodegas Nekeas, Bodegas Príncipe de Viana, Bodegas Malón de Echaide, and Bodegas Quaderna VíaAdditionally, at the fair, this stand hosted the wine bar: Garnacha Navarra, for all tastes and colors, where a selection of wines made with this grape variety could be tasted.

The Designation of Origin treasures a valuable winemaking heritage centered around Garnacha. Navarre excels in producing white wines from this grape that reflect their origin, rosés that bring it great fame, and honest reds with a recognizable identity. The five zones that divide the vineyards of the D.O. Navarra shape the character of Garnacha, expressing itself differently according to the climatic and geographical conditions prevailing in each. Thus, the Designation of Origin encompasses everything from the most Atlantic Garnachas from some of the Iberian Peninsula's northernmost vineyards and mountainous regions to the most continental Mediterranean ones in the Ebro Valley. All of these Garnachas offer the freshness of the north and bring a vibrant historical richness to the region.Aware that we have some of the best Garnacha wines in our country, as demonstrated by the recent awards obtained at the Garnachas del Mundo Competition held in Navarra, we want to share this great treasure and value that we possess."...", explains the president of the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Navarra, David Palacios. Thus, taking advantage of the presence of the Regulatory Council at Fenavin, the entity invited a group of journalists related to gastronomy and "lifestyle" to the terrace of one of Madrid's most sought-after rooftops. It's the rooftop of the Picalagartos establishment, located on one of the city's main arteries, Gran Vía.

At this exclusive event, attendees tasted wines produced with Grenache, emblematic of the Denomination of Origin Navarra, from the wineries participating in the National Wine Fair and, in addition, those with the highest scores in the Navarre DO Wine Selection 2022. These wines, enjoyed during a magnificent Madrid spring sunset with views of the city skyline, were tasted alongside a menu of tapas made with Reyno Gourmet products, orchestrated in the kitchen by renowned chef Manuel Berganza.

El Consejo Regulador de la D.O.
