Navarra to celebrate a collective and multitudinous toast to extol the values behind wines with Designation of Origin, which was carried out simultaneously in 34 other Designations of Origin throughout the country.

The D.O. Navarra has gathered more than one hundred and fifty people, in a festive atmosphere, in the Plaza de la Iglesia de Eslava to raise their glasses and toast to the wines with Designation of Origin. The event was warmly welcomed by the residents of the town, an emblematic village in the Lower Mountain production area, whose history and culture is closely linked to wine and viticulture.

This year, in its eighth edition, the "D.O. Wine Day" has focused its claim on the contribution of wine Appellations of Origin to the social cohesion of the territories in which they are located and has been made visible under the slogan: "The Appellations of Origin give life to our villages. Let's celebrate what unites us!

This joint celebration, promoted and coordinated by the Spanish Conference of Wine Regulatory Councils (CECRV), is organized with a twofold objective: to bring wine with appellation of origin closer to the people and raise awareness of the positive impact that wine appellations of origin have on the rural areas of our country. Wine appellations of origin help to generate identity, roots and a sense of belonging, contribute to the preservation and enhancement of the tangible and intangible heritage of that territory and facilitate the socioeconomic and cultural development of rural areas, providing traditions and customs that help to structure the social interactions of the people who live and work in those territories.

Thus, attendees were able to celebrate the day, toasting with rosé wine D.O. Navarra and accompanying it with skewers of Chistorra de Navarra, a brand protected under the Reyno Gourmet seal of quality, a partner of the event. In addition, the festive atmosphere was multiplied thanks to the live musical entertainment organized for the occasion.

"From the D.O. Navarra, we defend the great social, economic and cultural work of the appellations of origin. We are excited to join this celebration, along with thirty-four other Designations of Origin, to make visible the importance of wines with D.O. and their fundamental role in the history of the localities of the rural environment", says the president of the Regulatory Council of the D.O.
